What information do I need to provide?

When you sign up to be a volunteer, we will ask for information in our online registration form including your name, month and year of birth, gender, ethnicity, and other information about your experiences of OCD. We will also ask for your preferred method of contact and your contact details.

What happens to my data?

Once you complete the volunteer registration form with your information, your information is then made available to us and is stored on a secure database. To keep your data secure, names and contact details are kept on a database that is separate from the database which contains sensitive personal information, allowing for anonymity.

Is my data shared with anyone?

If you become a volunteer, staff working for the Orchard OCD Registry conducting administrative duties will be able to see your data. Only staff involved in the Orchard OCD Registry will have access to your personal details, and these will not be shared with anyone outside of this.

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) states that a lawful basis is necessary whenever an organisation processes personal data. At Orchard OCD Registry, we require informed consent from you as a volunteer before we can process your data. This means that we need you to provide either written or verbal consent to say you are happy to have your data processed by us.
